OTE, the Greek telecommunications operator, has chosen ZTE’s DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) products to expand its broadband network and services throughout Greece and other areas served by OTE.
“There is huge potential in the broadband access business throughout Europe. This latest ADSL order from OTE highlights the operator´s confidence in both the quality and reliability of ZTE´s equipment and in our integrated support services,” said Mr. Guo Jun, President of ZTE Central and Eastern Europe, “The new ZTE DSLAM technology solution and services will help OTE in its continuing strategic transformation to offer more value to its subscribers through diversified broadband services across the region.”
This is the third successful cooperation between ZTE and OTE, and follows provision of an ADSL system covering 16 facilities for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and a further DSL network expansion in May, 2005.
