The company stated its intentions of giving up Yahoo Plus service starting April 2006.

Yahoo Plus, which is a combination of security features, broadband extras, email tools, and times-saving conveniences will be taken out of the market starting April 23. Customers have been already announced via email that Yahoo Plus service will no longer be available.

For $5.95 a month or $47.40 a year, consumers could take advantage of “Virtually Unlimited‿ 2GB mailbox or 10 sub-accounts for family members, for example.

The feed-back Yahoo received from its buyers was not as positive as expected. Therefore the company decided that Plus is no longer of interest for the business, choosing to concentrate on providing its users with more interesting service.
