The time for the announcement was considered to be the Tokyo Game Show in September but it seems Nintendo has other plans.

Nintendo considered that the best time to announce the details regarding the price and the launch date will be at the Game Convention held in Leipzig between August 24th and 27th.

Speaking of the console launch, Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president said at a Tokyo press conference that is not expecting to lose money when WII will be launched like Sony and Microsoft.

“We can’t promise we won’t have even a one-yen loss, but we are not expecting an enormous loss… We are working to make the Wii business a healthy one from the first year.”

Nintendo is in a very good period where Wii is expected by many people, where its investors are happy with the way Nintendo goes, even the competitors Microsoft and Sony agreed that Wii will sell very good because of its price and the excellent gameplay it promises.
