Nintendo’s Wii game console has equaled Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
The battle between gaming consoles has never been so fierce before as the smallest competitor has managed to reach the same market share as the first ranked. Despite the fact that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 had a one-year head start, Nintendo’s Wii has almoust equaled the market performance of it’s bigger competitor.
Initially it was though the battle will be fought against Xbox 360 and Sony’s latest generation of gaming console as they were closer to each other in terms of technical specifications, but as “Wii would like to play” slogan has hit the market, it had a tremendous success due to it’s unique controller and despite it’s relatively modest hardware.
Microsoft’s Xbox, still has a comfortable distance from it’s main competitor, Sony’s Playstation 3 which has only sold aprox. 5 million units compared to Xbox’s over 13 millions.
