As the phones become more and more part of our lives, news tend to switch to phone also.
Weathernews, the world’s most experienced and trusted provider of mobile weather content, is pleased to announce that KRON 4, the Bay Area’s news station, has made its local news content available on WNI LiveLocal(TM).
WNI LiveLocal is a mobile video application that subscribers download onto their cell phones and use to access content from the WNI Network of 83 local broadcast affiliates, including local video broadcasts of news, weather, sports, traffic, and other information.
Unlike existing services that deliver national content and network programming, WNI LiveLocal is the only mobile video application currently providing Bay Area subscribers with on-demand, mobile video access from KRON, right to the palm of their hands.
“We are pleased to announce a new way to view KRON 4′s programming,” said Pat Patton. “By working with the WNI Network we let our viewers have the power of when and where they get KRON news and information. We hope to continue to offer our viewers new and exciting ways to access the KRON network.”
Interested consumers can subscribe to KRON 4′s on-demand mobile video updates at kron.livelocal.tv by entering subscriber information. KRON 4′s content, and content from 83 local markets, is available for $4.99 a month.
“We are thrilled to be partnered with KRON to make their content available through the WNI LiveLocal application. Now KRON’s audience can easily view the day’s top stories direct on their cell phones,” explains Daniel Scalisi, VP of Media Services for WNI. “KRON is dedicated to delivering new services that will allow their viewers new and exciting ways to access what they have to deliver, all in one easy-to-use service.”
This service is now delivered to Sprint Nextel mobile handsets.
Now you will be able to know the weather and act accordingly. No more storms coming out of blue, no unexpected rain.
