ViewSonic Reaches 2ms Limit

ViewSonic eliminates ghosting with its 2ms LCD, VX922.

After the BenQ FP93G X release on the 25th of October, the first LCD with 2ms gray-to-gray response time, ViewSonic® Corp. announced the improved response time of its VX Series. Featuring 2 ms average video response time across the entire color scale, the 19-inch VX922 delivers optimized video performance for a variety of applications, including gaming and digital entertainment.

The VX922 is the first desktop display to combine ViewSonic’s proprietary Dynamic Structure TM and Amplified Impulse TM video response acceleration technologies to support rates of up to 500 frames per second across the entire color scale. This advancement produces superior front-of-screen performance for motion video and eliminates ghosting, a problem caused when the tiny pixels creating an image take too long to switch on and off.

The VX922 will be available Dec. 1, 2005.

For gamers’ pleasure, ViewSonic® Corp. recently provided NCsoft-North America with the VX Series of LCDs to visually showcase its long-awaited “City of Villainsâ„¢â€? online interactive game, created by Cryptic Studiosâ„¢. The preview event for the game, held on Alcatraz Island earlier this month, teamed ViewSonic’s VX924 with the intense motion, rich graphics of City of Villains to bring suspenseful villain missions to life, from heists and kidnappings to infiltrations and more.

“The VX924 provides a visual centerpiece for the City of Villains with its benchmark speed and its slim design for supporting greater mobility, said Dorothy Ferguson, vice president of sales and marketing for NCsoft North America.
