Available today in North America, TV Wonder™ 650 and TV Wonder™ 200 offer new easy-to-use features for Personal Video Recording (PVR) on the PC.
Two months ago, ATI released Theater 650 Pro, a TV Wonder that disappointed by not having QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation). QAM is a method of combining two amplitude-modulated (AM) signals into a single channel, thereby doubling the effective bandwidth. QAM is used with pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) in digital systems, especially in wireless applications.

What makes TV Wonder 650 interesting is that includes a motion-adaptive 3D comb filter and noise reduction capabilities. Did I mention that it features a 125-channel TV tuner?
TV Wonder 200 is the little brother and offers high quality analog TV viewing and video capture. Like TV Wonder 650, it features a 125-channel TV tuner so you can you can watch, pause and record them all. You can watch live TV broadcasts or digitally capture video content from your VCR or camcorder to preserve in a video library or burn to DVD.
“More consumers are embracing the media PC evolution than ever before. With today’s announcement, these enthusiasts can enjoy new entertainment value featuring ATI’s high quality TV-on-the-PC PVR solutions,” said Paul Lypaczewski, Senior Vice President Marketing and General Manager, Desktop, ATI Technologies Inc. “The Media PC is now a standard fixture in home theaters; extending the entertainment experience with truly innovative features.
