NEC LCD Technologies, Ltd. will launch three new amorphous silicon TFT LCD modules on the market within the second trimester of 2006.
Thus, NEC expands its line-up of TFT color LCDs for industrial use to meet a broader range of demands in this area. The new models will comprise of a 15.0-inch extended graphics array (XGA) TFT LCD, a 9.0-inch wide video graphics array (W-VGA) TFT LCD, and an 8.4-inch super video graphics array (SVGA) TFT LCD.
All three models support a wide operating temperature range, from -10 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius and realize color input of 8bit RGB (16.77M).
Model NL10276BC30-18 is a 15.0-inch XGA TFT LCD, having a high luminance of 500cd/m2, a viewing angle of 150 degrees horizontally and 130 degrees vertically and a contrast ratio of 450:1.
Model NL8048BC24-01, a 9.0-inch W-VGA TFT LCD, has a luminance of 400cd/m2, a viewing angle of 160 degrees horizontally and 140 degrees vertically and a contrast ratio of 500:1.
Model NL8060BC21-02, an 8.4-Inch SVGA TFT LCD, has a luminance of 400cd/m2, a viewing angle of 160 degrees horizontally and 140 degrees vertically and a contrast ratio of 500:1.
Screens boast high levels of visibility and enable clear display of a variety of information and facilitating ease of reading. The need LCDs in industrial fields has escalated in recent years with the diversity of installation locations and environments where appliances are used.
