The World’s 1st 3D Gaming Mouse

Sandio Technology Corporation, a 3D input company, today introduced Game O’, the world’s 1st 3D gaming mouse.

The patent protected Game O’ 3D gaming mouse offers PC gamers an “unfair advantage” by allowing them to execute game moves that are not possible using just a keyboard and a traditional 2D mouse.

The Game O’ 3D gaming mouse opens up new frontiers for gamers to explore by offering enhanced movement options and flexibility. The Sandio 6DOF 3D mouse is a conventional 2D mouse with full 3D functions. Using just a mouse, PC users can now move the cursor and the objects along the x, y, and z axes (zoom in and out), and rotate objects and camera about the x (pitch), y (yaw), and z (roll) axes.

In addition to enhancing the abilities and experience of individual gamers, Sandio Technology offers a software developer’s kit (SDK) for their 3D mouse that allows game developers to develop new characters with “6 degrees of freedom (6DOF)” moves that were previously impossible to execute.

Game O’ is a mouse who can have up to 2000 dpi ((400, 800, 1600, 2000) thanks to its Avaga (former Agilent) Laser sensors. It has works with 16-bit mouse data packet size.

No price till now but on their website we found: “Users pay the price of a 2D mouse for a mouse with a full 3D function”. To what mouse they were referring we don’t know.
