The flaws discovered in the PSP software made possible the use of PDF readers or FTP applications on the console. Last month Sony made the update 2.0, and fixed some problems but hackers found a new way to modify the software. This time a buffer overflow flaw let them to run some code that downgraded the firmware software to 1.5 version which is much more vulnerable.

The company is advising users not to run unauthorised code on the device because they will void the warranty.
