Computers In Motion announces Microsoft Windows XP Certification of SafePods for Internet Explorer.
SafePods is a new browser privacy and security product which makes Internet Explorer a safer environment.
“This certification makes Safepods the only browser containment technology available that has passed the rigors of Microsoft XP Certification. This also proves our containment design enhances the Internet Explorer experience with no impact to the underlying Windows XP operating System.” - Mark Wright, Chief Architect at Computers In Motion.
Asian Atlantic Industries, a global trading company, has been looking forward to SafePods’ certification. Tom Mahoney, President, “As part of a pilot program, we’ve been comparing Safepods on Internet Explorer to Firefox on 30 PC’s globally for the past 6 months. Our goal was to implement the most secure browser available with the lowest total cost of ownership. In our test, Safepods was the clear winner simply by containing every malware threat we threw at it. As a result, we’ve seen a marked reduction in support restores. We are excited about the Windows XP Certification as this is a requirement to become a permanent solution on our desktops.”
Along with this certified release, Computers In Motion added a privacy feature called “Wipe Clean” to Safepods, which eliminates any trace of your browsing experience.
Shakish Langford, CIM engineer said, “Our beta customers kept telling us ‘Wipe Clean’ was a big feature. Whether you are using your own PC, a corporate PC, a hotel computer, or a computer at a trade show, everything you do through the browser can be re-created and viewed, which is a serious infringement on an individual’s privacy. Safepods ‘Wipe Clean’ feature eliminates the history, files, cache, and any chance of a potential restore of your browsing session.”
Operating SafePods(TM) for Internet Explorer is simple and effective. The technology is designed to support an “install-and-forget” working mode; hence there are no configuration requirements. When the Internet Explorer environment is damaged, the user can simply click the WIPE CLEAN button on the tool bar and the Internet Browser is ready for use again. There is no need to backup the infected PC or send for a technician.
Computers In Motion’s SafePods(TM) for Internet Explorer is available for download here and is available as a Free Trial Download or Consumer Purchase (one time cost of $29.95 with no annual subscription fees).

I downloaded SafePods five days ago. In one sitting, it blocked 11 infection attempts and 6 malware attempts that I may never have had a clue about if it were not for SafePods. Since I have had it it has blocked 2 serious threats to my system (they are serious threats when the browsers frame turns red). I have never felt so safe to use the internet.

I just downloaded this product from Downloads.com. Too soon to tell but if it works as advertised I won’t want to browse any other way. Who doesn’t want to eliminate their browsing history every now and then? I also just downloaded music into the POD and was able to copy and share. Looks like another curve ball to the music industry
