RealNetworks is commited to the mobile phones just as it is to PCs

The company is now offering video content for consumers mobile phones. They can watch videos, listen to music or play games on their mobile devices.

This month was quite promising for the leading creator of digital media services and software. After announcing that its Rhapsody music service would be offered to Sprint Nextel mobile customers, RealNetworks released its Helix OnlineTVTM application for mobile and broadband providers and announced that Cingular has named Real as its end-to-end solution provider for the development and delivery of the carrier’s next generation video service. Helix OnlineTV is Real’s solution for both mobile and broadband service providers enabling them to offer personal interactive TV to consumers’ handsets or PCs.

The Cingular deal is key for RealNetworks as it moves into the mobile entertainment market.
