Intel builds factory in Vietnam

This thing surely makes the Vietnamese officials happy, as this will increase the country’s portfolio as a hi-tech country. Like the other countries in the SE Asia (China, Malaysia and Philippines), Vietnam benefits from Intel development plans.

Â

Seems that Intel has big plans for Vietnam, since it will try to provide computers for a training program for the Vietnamese teachers and to create wireless networks for the rural zones.

Â

The things that are pointed and make Vietnam a less “desired country are the poor infrastructure, too much bureaucracy and widespread corruption. Maybe when all this will be solved and the negotiations with World Trade Organization are completed, they will become a powerful hi-tech zone. Till then, they will remain as a country logging for foreign investments, like Intel and other mutants.

Here is what the Vietnamese Prime Minister declared for BBC:

“We will do our utmost to create all the most favorable conditions possible so that projects like Intel will be successful”.
