Samsung to Offer Google Services on Its Mobile Phones

Samsung mobile phones, equipped with Google applications, will enable consumers to search information, find locations, and manage their email on the move.
Beginning in early 2007, selected Samsung phones will be provided with a range of Google products and services aimed to create a more dynamic user experience, including:
Samsung has already launched, the Ultra Edition 13.8 (SGH-Z720), its first mobile handset installed with Google mobile search and Gmail services. The 3G Z720 is 13.8mm in thinness. It is HSDPA ready, and comes with a 3-megapixel camera, MP3 Player, and Bluetooth connectivity. The HSDPA connectivity combined with embedded an Internet browser and Google mobile services will provide users with a rich mobile Internet experience. Future models will also be Google-ready as consumers continue to demand trouble-free mobile Internet access.
The battle between Google and Yahoo! continues on mobile field. Yahoo! Go for Mobile 2.0 is available for BlackBerry, Nokia and Motorola mobile devices.
Samsung stays neutral and choose both Google and Yahoo! applications for its handsets. The company will pre-load Yahoo! services, including Yahoo! Go for Mobile 2.0, Yahoo! oneSearch, Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger, on its mobile phones beginning in the first half of 2007. Samsung has launched its first mobile handset, the SGH-E570, pre-loaded with Yahoo! Search.
