Google Talk Gets An Update
Published On 28th July 2006 @ 11:53 In Communications, Internet | No Comments
The update was released on July 26 and brings new things for Google Talk but old for other IM clients.
You now have the File Transfer feature which allows you to send and receive unlimited files through Google Talk with no restriction to the type of the files sent or to their size. If you are behind a proxy, Google’s doesn’t guarantees that the speed will be high but, in most cases the transfers will be fast and reliable.
They introduced Voicemail, a feature that was used by Yahoo users many times. If you want to contact a friend and he’s not answering you can leave him a voicemail. If your friend doesn’t use Google Talk he will receive your message as an audio file sent being attached to an email.
By choosing “show current music track”, you will be able to let others see what music you are listening to.
More, you get the avatar thingy from the rest of the IM. You can pick a picture and customize it as you see fit. You can also customize the appearance of your chat sessions.
The last thing introduced is Google Talk for BlackBerry. This says a lot about how many people are using BlackBerry devices and the fact that requested Google to launch a special version for their BlackBerry. If you want to downloaded from the Internet you go click [1] here or accesses it from your device.
