Not only you can organize, edit, share, print and backup your photos with Picasa, but now you can even upload them for easy sharing on the Web.
The newest version of Picasa was released yesterday and comes with a new feature that will certainly become one of the main attractions of the software. The new feature, called Picasa Web Albums lets users post and shares their photos online for free with just one click.
Not only users can upload pictures, but the pictures can now be seen and downloaded by anyone (or just friends and family) and can even be commented.
Another new and requested feature is the ability to save Picasa edits and have access to them in other programs. Even so, Picasa still provides an automatic backup that lets users revert back to the original anytime and even match the jpeg quality of the original.
The new version of Picasa now has integration with Google Earth, so users can put information about were they went on vacation into the photos themselves, and then, view their shots on a 3-D globe.
The latest Picasa version can be downloaded here, on Soft32.
