Yahoo launches its Phone Out service for the US market as well.

The service provided by Yahoo was available for other countries starting last December. Users could make phone calls from their computer to regular phones at different costs.

Now Yahoo Phone Out is open for the US market as well. For 2 cent a minute or less people can make calls from their computer to 30 national phone markets. this new technology makes people give up the traditional way of communication.

Yahoo has also given up using X10 as customers complained about the audio quality of their calls. Global IP Sound has been taken on board, Yahoo managing this way to keep up the step with major rivals like Skype, AOL or Google which all use the Global IP Sound.

Company officials state that Yahoo has lower prices than Skype which is basically the main rival. How low can those prices actually go ?
