Notebooks with Integrated UMTS

Fujitsu Siemens Computers will introduce notebooks with integrated GPRS/UMTS technology from the first quarter of 2006.

The external PC card becomes unnecessary. Roaming between GPRS/UMTS and Wireless LAN ensures highest flexibility. This integrated mobile solution also considerably simplifies access to corporate applications or up-to-the-minute information during, for example, a customer visit.

“The new UMTS notebooks once again demonstrate that we are the market leader when it comes to developing innovative mobility solutions, said Peter Esser, Executive Vice President Volume Products & Supply Operations at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “As with all our mobile products and solutions, we have placed special emphasis on making these notebooks secure and easy to use, as well as direct and immediate customer benefits like efficiency and savings in time and money.
