It seems as the teens are now in holiday MySpace is now a favorite place to hang out.

Hitwise released the traffic on US and come up with the fact that MySpace was the most visited domain. With 4.46% of all traffic it the number one. Yahoo holds number 3 place while on the 2nd place is eBay.

These numbers represents a 4,300% increase from two years ago and a 132% increase from last year. This time last year myspace.com represented 1.9% of all Internet visits.

MySpace, which dominates social networking on the Web, also gained share in June from other sites that aim to create virtual communities online for sharing music, photos or other interests, Hitwise said.

MySpace captured nearly 80 percent of visits to online social networking sites, up from 76 percent in April. A distant second was FaceBook at 7.6 percent.

This increase comes after Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp bought MySpace with $580 million to increase their media presence.

But MySpace also had troubles. Teens sexually abused and lately a mother sued MySpace and demanded $30 million because her daughter age 16 was kidnapped and raped by a 19-years old man.

So MySpace is a good place to find friends and chat but it also comes with risks.
