WineHQ announced the availability of a new release for Wine which brings Wine to version 0.9.18.
The news is kind of short but I’m sure that the Linux users will be happy to hear that people are reporting that more and more games are starting to be playable with this version of Wine. Even games like World of Warcraft and Half Life 2 can now be played if you tweak a little the program.
What I can tell you for sure is that Warcraft III can now be played without any problem. No tweaking is necessary.
And here are the new improvements:
- More compatible memory management
- A lot of MSI bug fixes and improvements
- Still more work on Direct3D
- Several fixes for Win64 support
- Lots of bug fixes
- Some performance improvements
You can download the sources from here or from here.
Enjoy the feeling.
