Expected to be launched this year, the new version of the operating system, Windows Vista , is again delayed by the company.
As feedback from software tests came back positive, the business version for Vista is going to be ready starting November. In what broad consumers are concerned, they can reach Vista only starting January 2007.
Basically one of the reasons stated by Microsoft causing this delay is the increased security the company is trying to reach to for Vista. As they put it, better a delay with a high performance product than releasing Vista with bugs. Still, nothing guarantees that this delay will eventually reveal a high standard operating system.
Developers of Vista gained this way more time to work on what they call the “perfection of their project. The most important features are the security levels which Microsoft says “will reach a higher level than ever.
Therefore Windows Vista-based PCs will get on the market starting next year’s January. This delay may also affect PC vendors as they have to wait a few weeks more in order to ship their PC Vista-based devices later than expected.
All the companies involved in this project agree that delaying Vista’s launch in order to bring it closer to perfection is worth every week.
