The Redmond giant is preparing to compete with Apple.

It seems that in the last time, Microsoft had talks with several music industry bosses for licensing and to create their own music service.

This is a clear proof that Microsoft wants to compete with Apple’s iPod and their music service iTunes.

As you know, Microsoft is having their Windows Media Player 11 onto the Vista Beta 2 and also a superb Media Center but only on the Premium and Ultimate version.

All this shows Microsoft intention to try to conquer the media market and why not try to take some from Apple while in the process.

Since no press release was given by Apple or Microsoft we are left out of more details, but I’m sure that if the rumors are true the details will appear shortly.
