LamaBox. It doesn’t say anything right?

The name doesn’t say anything. We are sure that is an electronic gadget but what does it do, and what’s all the fuss about?

Maybe some of you already heard about it, but probably others don’t. So here’s what is all about. LamaBox is a Home Entertainment Media Player and is made in Netherlands. What is really a innovation is that the player is P2P compatible meaning that with it you can download audio and video from P2P networks. Edonkey, Bittorrent, Kazaa (Fasttrack), Gnutella and overnet are already installed on the machine and as a last addition direct streaming of video and audio from the net is also supported by LamaBox.

LamaBox comes in four flavors:
- LamaBox 400 (the standard edition) has a 40 GB hard drive and costs 279 Euros.
- LamaBox 420 which is the standard edition plus a DVD burner costs 329 Euros.
- LamaBox 820 is equipped with a 200 GB hard drive and a DVD burner and is worth 378 Euros.
- LamaBox 900 has a 400 GB hard drive and of course a DVD burner and has a price of 479 Euros.

The producer wants to hit the market with its machine this year so here is a possible candidate on your gift list for the holiday season.
