Verity Systems announced the launch of the LinxTower duplication system, a solution what will expand to allow users to link up to 255 ten drive towers together to give an incredible 2550 target drives.

Each ten target drive tower is linked to another via a D-sub 15 connection. Users simply place a master disc into the first tower in the chain’s DVD-ROM drive and press copy. The data will then pass to each connected tower through the high performance daisy chain cables. Alternatively duplication can be made from a master stored on the 160Gb hard drive for even fast duplication times. Designed to with-stand 24 / 7 operation and heavy production runs, the LinxTower duplicators enhanced vented air circulation system means that towers never require cooling off periods.

Linx Tower supports up to 48x CD duplication or 16x DVD duplication, depending on the model chosen, enabling a DVD to be copied in seven minutes, and a CD in two and a half minutes. A USB 2.0 connection provides you with the option to link to your PC and make one of the CD/DVD-RW drives inside your duplicator tower as an external optical drive.

Linx Towers are manufactured with an aluminium case and built in power supplies. The dimensions (WxHxD) are 7×20.1×17.7″ or 180×510x450mm, and the weight, 50lbs or 22.7kg (each 10 drive tower).

Suported formats are: DVD+/-R/RW, DVD+R DL, DVD-ROM, DVD-Video; CD-R/RW, CD-ROM (Mode 1), CD-DA (Audio CD), CD-ROM XA (Mode 2), Multi Session Photo CD, CD-I, D-Extra (CD Plus), CD+G, VCD.

Manufacturer’s suggested list price for the LinxTower is $1,589/ £732 / €1,084 for each ten drive tower.
