Heroes of Might and Magic strikes back.

Ubisoft has something special for us. Their new titles are Heroes of Might & Magic V, the latest installment of the award-winning turn-based strategy game, and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, a new action-based game.

These new games are the latest creations of Ubisoft in this game area and they precede a notorious game who had millions of fans. The Heroes of Might and Magic brings the old time-strategic play combined with spectacular 3D animations, new scenarios and new units. Dark Messiah will bring a new style in the universe of Might and Magic by combining the story telling with the technology from Valve’s Source Engine.

Ubisoft also announced the launching of a dedicated web portal for on-line playing which will be also a large source of informations about their games, and where users can find exclusive content related to the games.
The only details given by the company about the new games were about Heroes of Might & Magic V’s sinister Dungeon faction that’s led by dark elves, a renegade splinter of the Sylvan faction and that they broke off from the Sylvan faction long ago to ally with the Faceless and live in the subterranean world of Ashan. Their turn-ons include secrecy, plots, betrayal, and occultism.

Being under development, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic uses Valve’s Source engine to put players in a first-person action game based on the fantasy universe, while Heroes of Might & Magic V revamps the long-running strategy series.

The launch is planned for February 2006 so stay tuned!
