GAME, the UK’s leading video games retailer, has confirmed that they are the official launch partner for the Nintendo DS Lite console, when it launches on Friday 23rd June 2006.

Nintendo and GAME are expecting hundreds of customers who have pre-ordered their DS Lite’s to queue up to collect them in the morning.

Both GAME stores will be working with Nintendo to produce a launch spectacular with goody bags, competitions, and plenty of demonstration DS Lite units. They’ll also be giving away a free game to the first 75 Oxford Street customers who buy a DS Lite on the day.

Robert Quinn, Sales Director at GAME said “We are anticipating huge crowds of customers will come to our stores to get their hands on their DS Lite at the first possible moment. The console has been hotly anticipated by thousands of customers who have reserved this console for weeks in advance and we are working flat out to make sure customers get the products they want first.”

Until late Thursday, the GAME shops will accept pre-orders. More, the staff will answer your questions about GAME’s policies, information on all consoles – including the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo DS, and all the latest software.
