BBCI (Berlin-Brain Computer Interface) is a project supported by the German ministry of education and research as its main goal is to provide an interface between brain and computer.

 

Since its appearance on the market a long while ago, the machine has definitely changed our way of thinking and doing things, becoming an indispensable element in every day life. Researchers think its time to bring computers to a next level making. Why just connect your PC to another PC and not connect it to your brain as well?

“Brain Computer Interface� is an actual reality not a dream anymore. The cerebral electric activity is recorded through electroencephalogram (EEG). The electric signals of the brain are measured with electrodes attached to the scalp. The BCI can detect only motor-related EEG changes and uses this information in order to decide between two alternatives.

This computer interface leads to the move of the mouse pointer directly through brain waves but could also receive a medical use.

If in the beginning controlling computers through your thoughts was considered a science fiction idea, it is now a fact. It’s up to you to decide if you choose right or left and do not forget to tell it to your computer too.
