After the Media Player for Black Berry, made available by Sona Mobile, GoAmerica presents i711, the i711 Wireless Internet relay software.
The announcement was made today. i711 Wireless(TM) Internet relay software is designed specifically for BlackBerry wireless devices from Research In Motion.
i711 Wireless is the first Internet relay software to allow users to dial phone numbers directly from the BlackBerry Address Book, enabling them to make relay calls without having to remember or copy and paste phone numbers. This feature, combined with other “smart dialing” and custom calling features, makes i711 Wireless the fastest, easiest way to make a wireless relay call on a BlackBerry.
“With its smart dialing, custom calling and other features, i711 Wireless sets a new standard for fast, convenient relay service on BlackBerry,” said Mark Stern, vice president of product management for GoAmerica. “i711 Wireless gives BlackBerry users a much better alternative to browser- and AIM-based mobile relay.”
“BlackBerry devices and the BlackBerry platform are optimized to enable the best messaging experience in the industry,” said Jeff McDowell, Director, Alliances, at Research In Motion. “We are very pleased that GoAmerica had developed i711 Wireless to provide a valuable service for the deaf and hard of hearing communities.”
How i711 works? Read and you’ll find out.
One of several i711 Smart Dialing features, “Name Dial” works seamlessly with the BlackBerry Address Book. Name Dial lets users instantly dial any number stored in their BlackBerry Address Book by typing the name of the person they want to call. Type the first few letters of a person’s name, and i711 Wireless displays a list of matches from the Address Book. The user then simply clicks on the name they want to dial to begin the relay call.
i711 Wireless users can customize their mobile relay experience in a variety of ways. By pre-entering operator instructions, users move past the relay “preliminaries” more quickly and get right to the relay conversation. Users can also set the font color, size, and more, so the conversation screen reflects their personal relay preferences.
Furthermore, i711 Wireless includes other time-saving features, including Quick Text and, integrated Address Book Editing. Quick Text enables the user to send longer text messages to the operator in a single step, and is particularly useful for sending voice mail instructions or even placing standard orders at restaurants. Integrated Address Book Editing ensures that the user’s BlackBerry Address Book is always up-to-date with frequently dialed phone numbers.
Enjoy.
