If you wanted to be a journalist and didn’t had the chance or opportunity, now is the time to act.
CNN is now offering everyone the chance to become a journalist without the need to have any studies. How come?
CNN Exchange will be the online center of Time Warner network’s interaction with viewers and Web surfers. They will read and highlight the emails that contain responses to their news stories and will provide links to blogs which maintained by CNN anchors and correspondents.
This is only the shell of the website. The core will represent the feature that gives the people a way to post their images, audio and video files on the network. This way they will help CNN with user-generated content. This content will be only for specific news events and without designating an area of its Web site for file uploads.
The news will be named I-Reports and will have the chance to be presented on CNN and online news reports.
Mitch Gelman, CNN.com executive producer and senior vice president, said that “user-generated content has the potential to play a pivotal role in journalism, whether it’s online or offline.'’
