Apple Is Not Alone

French state has been causing a lot of problems for Apple, with its intentions of opening up iTunes for interoperability.

If Apple fought back letting everyone know that if the law passes then they would leave the French market, the French government did not get impressed with Apple’s pressure.

And yet there is another player to come out in this game or trial, name it as you want. The U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary announced support for the company, not agreeing with what the French are trying to do.

Apple calls French decision as being “state-sponsored piracyâ€Â? and U.S. government approves company’s opinion.

Though economically speaking, leaving the French market would not truly affect the company’s business, the decision is more a question of principles. It seems like the U.S. companies keep having problems on European territory, Microsoft gets in trouble with European Law, Apple has to face the French government, there is not that much of a bright future ahead for these companies.
