AMD launched the ATI Radeon HD 4770 graphics processor, that harnesses the 40 nanometer manufacturing process for the desktop PC market, at anticipated launch prices as low as $991.
The ATI Radeon HD 4770 graphics card is the newest addition to the ATI Radeon HD 4000 series. The new card features third-generation hardware support for the latest DirectX 10.1 games, delivering higher game performance and improved visual quality when compared to DirectX 10. Gamers looking to get the most value out of their graphics hardware investment can scale their performance using ATI CrossFireX technology, allowing a second ATI Radeon HD 4770 card to be added for a near-linear increase in performance.
The ATI Radeon HD 4770 makes use of the latest GDDR5 memory technology, providing incredibly high data rates for fast game performance.
With its 640 stream processors utilizing 512MB of GDDR5 memory, the graphic card is the ultimate performance product in the mainstream class. Clock speeds are 750MHz for the core and 800MHz (3.2GHz effective) for the memory making this the fastest HD 4770 card available. The card is efficiently cooled by an dual slot fan based cooler with thermal control monitoring which keeps noise levels to the minimum.
The graphics card allows users to enjoy HD digital content. The new card helps enhance the definition and clarity of lower resolution media, and through the second generation AMD Unified Video Decoder (UVD 2.0) technology, users can be assured of smooth video playback, crisp images, and vibrant colors on all HD content including Blu-ray discs. With support for HDMI, picture-in-picture (PiP) and the latest HD audio technologies like 7.1 surround sound, the new graphics card enables a cinema-quality home entertainment experience.
GECUBE, an exclusive partner of AMD with ATI graphics solution launched its latest version of the Radeon HD 4770.
The GECUBE HD 4770 series uses the PCI-Express Gen2 interface, and features dual connectors for CrossFire X bridge cables, allowing two or more cards to be used together on a CrossFire X compatible motherboard for higher graphics performance. With the latest ATI ATI Catalyst suite drivers, it offers ATI Stream processing for the acceleration of supported applications and demanding games. GECUBE HD 4770 series incorporate the latest ATI Avivo HD Technology for enhanced Video display. The UVD 2.0 technology reduces CPU load and delivers smooth decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD content for both VC-1 and H.264 codecs, as well as Mpeg files. Its video outputs design ofer 2 dual-link DVI for ultra-high resolution up to and 1 HDTV output - allowing direct connection to a variety of displays. Two simultaneous displays are supported.
