Alcatel-Lucent will provide T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom with convergent communications solutions from its enterprise portfolio.
This will make it easier for T-Systems and the business customer branch of Deutsche Telekom, to supply their large enterprise customers (T-Systems) and business customers (DT), with IP solutions for voice and data networking.
Among these are the telecommunications systems Octopus Open and Octopus EP, as well as a large LAN portfolio. All business units of DT, including its affiliates worldwide will have direct access to Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise solutions. The international affiliates can also profit from Alcatel-Lucent’s Managed Services offer. The framework agreement replaces and expands previous non-global agreements and strengthens the successful alliance between the two companies.
T-Systems´ customers globally and business customers of Deutsche Telekom will benefit from Alcatel-Lucent’s advanced, convergent IP communications technologies from its enterprise portfolio. These include for instance hybrid VoIP and digital communications systems for businesses, solutions for contact centers, hotels and hospitality, Unified Communications applications, mobility solutions, LAN and WLAN platforms, network management, and security solutions.
“We are looking forward to supply our customers even easier and quicker than in the past with convergent enterprise solutions. We can do that because we got a much quicker access to Alcatel-Lucent’s portfolio. Global access and an easy ordering process are supporting our services commitment”, said Klaus Werner, CFO from T-Systems. “Moreover, we can now offer our international enterprise customers Managed Services as a cost model. For many customers, this is an attractive alternative to buying the technology.”
Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise solutions interconnect networks, people, processes and knowledge securely. T-Systems’ enterprise customers can significantly reduce their operating costs and evolve to become Dynamic Enterprises, where Enterprise 2.0 capabilities and real-time communications come together to achieve a higher level of collaboration, interaction and knowledge sharing between employees.
