In an interview show on NBC, Bill Gates, the richest man on the Earth made a shocking statement.
He said that he doesn’t want to be the richest man in the world.
“I wish I wasn’t. There is nothing good that comes out of that” said Gates
Bill Gates is still the richest man alive, with $90 billion at the peak of his fortune. His wealth take a dive when Microsoft disappointed investors by saying new investments would crimp earnings.
“You get more visibility as a result of it” he said when asked if he likes the publicity that his wealth assures.
But being the richest allows you to be generous from time to time. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has an endowment of nearly $29B USD.
Joke or not, Bill Gates got another bit of publicity again. Like Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO had with the interdictions for his children with not using iPod or Google.
