As Blu-Ray is going to hit the shelves this summer, the manufacturers are trying to display their best.
Until now, several storage manufacturers have announced 2x Blu-Ray devices. Pioneer and Sony already announced their Blu-Ray devices so LG tries to be the best.
Their BGW-H10N is their first Blu-Ray storage devices and it said that that writes BD-R media at 4x and BD-RE at 2x. Also, it can also read and write DV-RAM at 5x speeds.
With a price close to $1000, H10N doesn’t support dual-layer media recording so you might expect a second generation which will probably support this thing considering the competition.
Sony announced that by the time LG will launch its device, their media will be released to the public.
